NEWS... BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Monifa McQueen, 25, has undergone more than 30 cosmetic procedures in just two years, in the pursuit of one goal: to look like a Bratz doll.

Her mission has so far cost her £65,483, as well as attracting judgement from her parents, who she describes as ‘strict Muslims’ who moved to the UK from Sierra Leone.

Monifa, from south London, says she is ‘addicted’ to surgery, but has no plans to stop.

She looks radically different to the way she did growing up, after 22 surgical procedures and 10 non-surgical treatments.

Her makeover so far has included breast implants, butt lifts, nose surgey, and liposuction.

‘Ultimately I would love to look like a Black Bratz Doll,’ said Monifa. ‘I still feel incomplete and not good enough in the mirror and in photos. I want to be the best version of myself and I don’t believe I am there yet.

‘My siblings love me, there is no judgement from them but I had a strict Muslim upbringing.

‘I have never told my parents all the details. They are both against any form of medical procedures, even necessary surgery.

‘They tell me I was beautiful before and my mum said she can’t recognise me now and asks why did I do this to myself.

‘She’s going to have to accept me for who I am. I am her daughter at the end of the day.

‘They are strict Muslims so they are very shocked to have a “bimbo girl” as their daughter. I do look very different to my sisters.’

At the age of 18, Monifa moved out of the family home after her relationship with her parents broke down.

She was just 23 when she travelled to the Dominican Republic and paid for a triple procedure costing £5,000.

‘I chose to go abroad because it was cheaper,’ she said. ‘My first surgery was a Brazilian butt lift and boob job at the same time. I also had thigh and arm liposuction.

‘I then had a second Brazilian Butt lift a couple months later, and thigh and arm liposuction again.’

Next, aged 24, Monifa focused on her face, travelling to the Dominican Republic, Turkey, and South Korea for her treatments, which included a nose job, cheek fat removal, the lowering of her hairline, having her jaw broken and reshaped, chin liposuction, and a chin implant.

After having a second nose job, Monifa underwent a mini facelift, cat eye surgery, a cheek lift, more chin liposuction, and further removal of fat from her cheeks.

Her non-surgical procedures include pdo threads, chin filler, Botox jaw slimming, nose filler, lip filler, undereye filler, and fat removal injections.

She has also had lip tattoos, dental work and hair transplants.

She said: ‘I want a small waist and big hips, like a Bratz doll.’

Monifa’s dramatic transformation hasn’t just impacted her relationship with her parents, it has also attracted criticism online and from friends.

‘The comments do make me feel horrible but I don’t care anymore,’ she said. ‘There is a surgery support community on Instagram and I’ve had a lot of positive comments and people like to know what surgeons I have used.

‘I am doing this for myself not anyone else, and nobody gets to tell me what to do. It’s my body and my choice.

‘My friends have mixed feelings. Some are supportive, others say I have gone too far.

‘I know I am addicted.’

Monifa says the recovery time is longer the more surgeries she has.

She said: ‘My body has been through such a lot. I get very bad headaches and I do question it when I am recovering, especially the pain I put myself through.

‘I do ask myself why I am not happy with how I look. There is a lot of pressure in the work I do and on social media and once I heal I’m ready to book the next thing.’

Asked how she has afforded the surgeries, Monifa admits to owing some money for previous procedures and does think about the financial and health risks attached to her obsession.

Monifa, who has an OnlyFans account, said: ‘Men have paid for a lot of my surgeries and I am actively looking for people to pay for my future surgeries too.

‘Lots of girls do it that way, plenty have sugar daddies, if they want to help me, why not?

‘I work really hard for my money and I am very good at saving.

‘I don’t want to have nothing to my name, but at the same time I choose to spend it all on surgery. Sometimes I worry I won’t make rent or have enough left for food.’

She has also suffered complications during her surgeries, but this hasn’t put her off further tweakments.

‘After my Brazilian butt lift, it caused bloody fluids that needed to be drained,’ Monifa said. ‘They were really painful and sometimes the recovery and complications hurt more than surgeries.

‘There will always be new things I can try out. I am a healthy and smart girl, but I constantly look at my face and analyse it.

‘I am a perfectionist and I am not perfect yet so I am looking forward to more procedures very soon.’
