A Troy man charged with auto theft was among a number of property crime-related felonies filed Monday by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Richard D. Anderson, 42, of Troy, was charged May 23 with offenses relating to motor vehicles, a Class 2 felony.
The case was presented by the Maryville Police Department. According to court documents, on May 23 Anderson allegedly had a reported stolen 2009 Harly Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle.
In a separate incident, Joshua L. Bryson, 39, of Dow, and Andrea P. Statham, 32, of Troy, were charged with burglary, a Class 2 felony, and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony.
The cases were presented by the Granite City Police Department.
According to court documents, on May 22 the two allegedly entered a vacant residence in Granite City to commit theft and were found to have less than five grams of methamphetamine.
Bail was set at $30,000 each.
Also, Shane D. Giacoletto, 25, of Collinsville, was charged with burglary, a Class 3 felony.
The case was presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
According to court documents, on May 20 Giacoletto allegedly entered a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe in Collinsville to commit theft.
Other felonies filed on May 23 include:
• Tara A. Casteal, 25, and Jamyian C. Perry, 20, both of Godfrey, were each charged with retail theft over $300, a Class 3 felony. The cases were presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. According to court documents, on May 21 the two allegedly took 46 lottery tickets valued in excess of $300 from the Godfrey Motomart. Bail was set at $15,000 each.
• Damon W. Jackson, 48, and Taunya J. Jackson, 44, both of St. Louis, were each charged with retail theft over $300 and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, all Class 3 felonies. The cases were presented by the Collinsville Police Department. On May 22 the two allegedly took clothing, electronic items, a backpack, a hat, cell phone chargers and Bondo body filler valued in excess of $300 from the Collinsville Walmart. They also allegedly had less than five grams of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $20,000 each.
• Amanda J. Kidd, 29, of Pontoon Beach, was charged with retail theft over $300, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Wood River Police Department. On May 20 Kidd allegedly took a number of grocery, cleaning and beauty products valued at less than $300 from the Wood River Walmart. Bail was set at $20,000.
• Gregory W. Hancock, 51, listed as homeless out of Granite City, was charged with theft under $500 (second subsequent offense), a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department. On May 17 Hancock allegedly took about 100 items of clothing valued at less than $500. He has a prior conviction for theft over $500 out of Madison County in July 2021. Bail was set at $20,000.
